Maya Amrein cello

Maya Amrein grew up in Zug and graduated with an instructor diploma, as well as qualifying at concert level in Winterthur and Bern. Subsequently she studied at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis under Christophe Coin, and took master courses with Jaap ter Linden and John Holloway. She has given many concerts at home and abroad, among others at Le Concert des Nations (Jordi Savall),
Cantus Coelln (Konrad Junghänel), Freiburger Barockorchester, Les Plaisirs du
Parnasse. Miscellaneous recordings for various labels. Repeated solo-continuo work at the theatre in Basel. Solo cellist with the Orchestra of the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, under the baton of Michael Hofstetter. Participation in the Bachkantaten of the Bachstiftung in Trogen, under the baton of Rudolf Lutz. She has been teaching at several music schools.
