Stephan Bootz, bass – Richard Bollo


Born in Mainz in 1979, Bootz studied at the Academy of Music “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin with Wolfgang Hellmich. Already during his studies he participated in academy productions as Samiel in Weber’s Freischütz, Billy in Weill’s Mahagonny Songspiel, Geronimo in Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto, Bennoît and Alcindor in La Bohème (Puccini) and the chief of the department in Rosenfeld’s chamber opera Die Verweigerung. During the Ruhrtriennale 2003 he sang in the première Heliogabal by Peter Vermeersch and Thomas Jonigk and in 2004 gave Canizares in Der eifersüchtige Alte (Kurt Schwaen) at the Music Academy Rheinsberg, as well as King René in Tschaikowsky’s Jolanthe at the Festival Oper-Oder- Spree. He regularly performs as a concert singer.
