William Coleman- baritone
colemanw.jpg (6733 Byte)William Coleman was brought up in Somerset, where he was a chorister at Wells Cathedral School. He studied at the University of Liverpool, and at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, having vocal studies with Patricia MacMahon. William was a member of English Touring Opera, before joining the Chorus of Scottish Opera in 1996. He has performed with Cappella Nova, Scotland's foremost chamber choir, in concerts throughout Scotland, and made his first principal appearance with Scottish Opera in Janacek's The Cunning Little Vixen.

William has given song recital performances at the Hexham 20,000 Voices Festival, the West End Festival and at Glasgow and Liverpool Universities. Marking the centenary of Gerald Finzi, William has featured Finzi’s vocal works in performances during 2001 for Derby Chamber Music Society, Strathclyde University and the Stratford Festival of English Music. Specialising in song recitals, William is a champion of 20th century British composers
