Gareth Deats - Cello

Gareth obtained a first-class honours degree in music from Southampton University, where he was also awarded the Peter Evans prize for outstanding performance. He then completed a post-graduate course at the Guildhall School of Music, where he studied baroque cello with Anthony Pleeth. He has recorded for television, radio and on compact disc and has performed extensively throughout Europe. He has played principal cello for La Serenissima, Classical Opera Company, Cambridge Baroque Camerata, The Avison Ensemble, Charivari Agreable and The Galeazzi Ensemble.

Gareth Deats erhielt einen first-class honours degree in music von der University Southampton, wo er auch den Peter Evans Preis für hervorragende Leistungen erhalten hat. An der Guildhall School of Music studierte er Barockcello mit Anthony Pleeth. Neben seiner Konzerttätigkeit in ganz Europa, realisiert er zahlreiche Einspielungen auf CD und fürs Fernsehen und Radio. Er war erster Cellist bei La Serenissima, Classical Opera Company, Cambridge Baroque Camerata, The Avison Ensemble, Charivari Agreable und The Galeazzi Ensemble.
