Christopher Duarte
Christopher Duarte
was born in 1960 and learnt the cello from an early age. He studied music at
Dartington College of Arts, Devon and undertook a Masters Degree at the
University of Surrey, Guildford, where he continued his interest in contemporary
music. After working at the BBC in London, Christopher and his wife Anne moved
to Norwich where they run a music business. In 1998 they founded Escorial
Edition to make available previously unpublished works by Carl Rütti, as
well as works by other contemporary composers. Christopher is also a member of
Norwich Cathedral Choir with whom he has undertaken many concerts, recordings,
broadcasts and tours.
