Hannah Garner Soprano

garnerh.jpg (12432 Byte)Hannah Garner studied singing with Margaret Cable as an exhibitioner at the Royal College of Music, supported by the William J. Gross scholarship fund from America. Twice winner of the Italian prize, her several awards also included the German and the Peter Pears duo prizes. Whilst at college, she took part in master-classes with Jane Manning, Patricia MacMahon, and Emma Kirkby; and performed with the RCM Chamber Choir at Buckingham Palace for the birthday of HRH The Prince of Wales.

Hannah’s solo engagements have embraced works such as the Rutter Requiem; Handel’s Messiah; and Mozart’s Requiem & Exsultate, jubilate. She has also given a recital as part of the Winchester Festival, and sang at the Babican as a soloist in Tippet’s Five Negro Spirituals.
