Luise Innes- Mezzo Soprano
innesl.jpg (7471 Byte)Louise Innes graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 1998 with a M.Mus Opera, studying with Patricia MacMahon, before being awarded a Peter Stuyvesant Scholarship to the National Opera Studio. Her operatic roles have included Carmen at Opera Holland Park, Cherubino La Nozze di Figaro at Garsington Opera, Second Lady Die Zauberflote in Aix-en-Provence and Mezzo 1 God's Liar by John Caskin at the Almeida Theatre and La Monnaie. Other roles include Dido Dido and Aeneas in Bordeaux, Siebel Faust for Opera de Massy, Dorabella Cosi fan Tutte with British Youth Opera and Second Cretan Woman Idomeneo on the EMI recording with Sir Charles Mackerras. She performs regularly on the oratorio platform and has givin recitals in Winchester Cathedral, St Magnus Cathedral, Orkney, Auckland Palace and No. 10 Downing Street. She is also a regular soloist with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Hebrides Ensemble.
