Anno
Kesting finished his studies of timpani and percussion at the Musikhochschule
Würzburg and has been an active soloist and chamber musician since then. He has
undertaken concert tours to various European countries, as well as Australia,
Asia and the USA. Together with the Percussion Art Quartett he won 1st
prize in the “International Percussion Competition Luxembourg” and the
“Bayrischen Kulturförderpreis” in 1991. Beside performing premiers, radio
broadcasts, record and CD recordings as well as writing articles for the
professional journal Sticks, he also busies himself with
interdisciplinary projects in the area of Jazz, performance and fine arts. At
the moment Anno Kesting works as a lecturer of percussion at the Fachhochschule
Heidelberg.
