Latzko, born in Freising, Bavaria, studied with Jan Polasek, Martin Ostertag and
Heinrich Schiff. He is principal cellist in the south-west-German radio
orchestra and teaching at Basel music academy. From 2003 he will be professor at
the university of music in Vienna
