His latest drama, “Stirring the Spirit”, commissioned by the Sarratt Festival, was so enthusiastically received that it toured most successfully to fifteen regional theatres and both  Edinburgh and Cambridge Festivals. The play came to London’s West End theatre in August, 2006.
Tours abroad have included performing with the Feinstein Ensemble in Egypt, playing solo recitals at the Edinburgh and Spoleto Festivals, touring Germany and Holland, and performing many concertos, including the Elgar, at St.Martin-in-the-Fields. Just recently he has undertaken his first solo recital tour to the USA.
Justin has recorded CDs for the following classical labels: Hyperion (Schubert), Naxos (Malcolm Arnold - a “Gramophone” award winning disc, and chamber works of Martinu), 4 discs for Guild (Beethoven Quintets, chamber music by Othmar Schoeck, piano trios and string quartets by Volkmar Andreae), ASV (Mozart and Schubert Viola and Cello Quintets), Dutton Epoch (8 discs: Rebecca Clarke, Walter Leigh, Richard Arnell, Arthur Benjamin, McDowell, Clifford and Bainton), Carlton Classics (Piazzolla) and, most recently, the Limerick-based composer, Osborne, for the Irish Lyric fm label. He has also produced independent programmes for BBC Radio 3, featuring the chamber music of Ginastera and Gliere.
Justin is to be heard playing the solo cello line in the film about the life of Oscar Wilde, “Wilde”, starring Stephen Fry, and is also the featured soloist on the soundtracks to cinematic successes, “Female Perversions” and “Frozen”.
Originally born in Dublin, Justin left Ireland at 14 to study in England with Derek Simpson of the Aeolian String Quartet. He entered the Royal Academy of Music where he won all available prizes for chamber music playing. Justin continues to return to Ireland to lecture and adjudicate at the Cork School of Music.
