Markus Poschner - ConductorMarkus Poschner was born in Munich in 1971. After his high school graduation (Abitur) he studied musical education and conducting at the Münchner Musikhochschule. In 1997 Poschner completed his diploma as conductor with honours, in 1999 the master class diploma followed and he received a scholarship from the Deutscher Musikrat to become assistant to Sir Colin Davis and Krystof Penderecki. Since 1996 Poschner has directed numerous opera productions in Munich, including at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, at the Prinzregententheater and during the Tollwood Festival (1998 Münchner Kritikerpreis). In 1997 he received a teaching position (assistant) with the university orchestra at the Münchner Musikhochschule and in 1998 for Jazz and conducting at the university of Regensburg. Beside regular guest conductorships in Germany including at the desk of the Münchner Rundfunkorchester, the Münchner Symphoniker, the Bremer Philharmoniker, the Kölner Rundfunksinfonieorchester, the Opera Leipzig, the Radio-Philharmonie des NDR, the Rheinischen Staatsphilharmonie, the Bochumer Symphoniker, the Ensemble Recherche or the Niedersächsischen Staatstheaters, Markus Poschner is often guest at numerous international orchestras and festivals: in 1999 in Argentina, France and the Georgian Republic, in 2000 in Chile. He has been principal conductor of the Georgische Kammerorchester Ingolstadt since 2000. Markus Poschner on Guild Music
