Rupert Jordan
Rupert Jordan, Organ Scholar of Queens from 1995-8,
began his career at next-door Kings College as a boy treble. As a Music Scholar of
Charterhouse he had wide experience of music-making and administration, and since coming
to Cambridge has run Queens College Choir, giving frequent concerts and recitals
with them of works including Handels Dixit Dominus, the Requiems of Fauré
and Duruflé and Mozarts Vesperae solennes de Confessore. He has a special
affinity with the English choral repertory of the turn of the century, of which this disc
is the fruit.
