Helmut Schröder - Tenor
Hartmut
comes from Bad Langensalza in Thuringia. Even during his school-time he studied
at the Telemann-Musikschule in Magdeburg and later at the Hochschule für Musik
und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy“ in Leipzig with Christina Wartenberg.
In 1993 he received his diploma in singing and attended a masterclass with
Elisabeth Schwarzkopf. In 1994/95 he continued his studies of singing at the
Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden. During and after his
studies he gave frequent performances of classical and sacred music (masses,
cantatas, opera, art songs). He also had engagements at the Schauspiel Leipzig,
the Staatstheater Schwerin, the Schloßfestspiele Ettlingen, at the theatres in
Hof, Pforzheim, and Passau and at the so-called Kreuzgangspielen Feuchtwangen.
His recent, very successful role was Roman Cycowski in the musical „Comedian
Harmonists“ at the Bayerische Hof and he gave guest-performances in
Frankfurt/Main and Hamburg. This role also earned him the award Münchner
Merkur-Preis 2000.
