Simon Mayr-Choir

The Simon-Mayr-Choir e.V. was founded as a project choir in 2003. Its members are students of voice belonging to the Academy for Music and Theatre in Munich, and committed singers from Ingolstadt and its region. The Simon Mayr Choir gave its debut in June 2003 with a celebrated performance of the h-minor mass by Johann Sebastian Bach together with the renowned Wasa baroque orchestra in Norway. The Opernwelt gave the following opinion in December 2003: “The magnificent young Simon Mayr-Choir…ensured an evening of a more than adequately high quality.”
