Jeffrey Wynn Davies
Artistic Director of the Association of British Choral
Directors Millennium Convention, Jeffrey Wynn Davies continues to enhance his already
established reputation as one of the North of Englands busiest and most versatile
choral conductors. In addition to Canzonetta he directs the Manchester Chorale and
Harrogate Choral Society - North Yorkshires largest amateur chorus. He has worked
with Manchester Camerata, the BT Scottish Ensemble and other professional orchestras in
major performances ranging from Monteverdi Vespers and the Bach Passions to Belshazzars
Feast and the Britten War Requiem.
Jeffrey Wynn Davies is much in demand as a guest conductor and choral trainer, working
for all of the major British choral organisations. He has directed seven regional choral
events for the BBC, and also regularly adjudicates at choral festivals throughout the UK
and Ireland. His summer Harrogate Choral Week, which draws singers from all parts of
Britain, is now firmly established on the national choral calendar.
