ADD Total Time = 50.17 - Recorded in St George's Chapel, Windsor, 8th & 9th January
1982
There has been a choir at St. Georges for over 600 years
and even today the long tradition of daily sung services is maintained. Always a choir of
outstanding sensitivity, this recording features the boys and men in some spiritual and
uplifting renditions. It is also with great admiration, the choir concludes the recording
with the Five Negro Spirituals from A Child of our Time by Englands
greatest living composer - Sir Michael Tippett. This recording is released to coincide
with Sir Michael Tippetts 90th Birthday in January 1995.
