There has been a choir at St. George’s for over 600 years and even today the long tradition of daily sung services is maintained. Always a choir of outstanding sensitivity, this recording features the boys and men in some spiritual and uplifting renditions. It is also with great admiration, the choir concludes the recording with the Five Negro Spirituals from A Child of our Time by England’s greatest living composer - Sir Michael Tippett. This recording is released to coincide with Sir Michael Tippett’s 90th Birthday in January 1995.
