Thomas AttwoodThomas Attwood (soemtimes Atwood) was a chorister at the Chapel Royal and later studied with Mozart in Vienna. He returned to England in 1787 and was appointed organist of St. Paul's in 1796, remaining there until his death. He is now best remembered for his small-scale anthems and Turn thee again is one such composition, touching in the simplicity of its expressive phrases.
