C. H. KitsonC.H. Kitson was born in Yorkshire in 1874 but from 1913 to 1935 had a strong association with Dublin as organist, teacher and professor at both University College and Trinity College. It was as a music theorist that he is best-known, but his fascinating 'Communion of an Irish Air' shows that he possessed an original talent for composition. It is beautifully written for the organ.
