Samuel Porter

Samuel Porter was organist at Canterbury Cathedral from 1757 to 1803. His setting of Jubilate Deo, "O be joyful in the lord all ye lands", paints a cheerful and convincing picture of the text, using choir, organ and two groups of solo voices.
