The Organ of St Patrick's Cathedral, DublinThe Great Organ of St. Patrick's Cathedral is considered to be the finest in Ireland. Certainly one of the largest, it has over 4,000 pipes (some surviving from the Renatus Harris instrument of 1695), 65 speaking stops, four manuals and full pedalboard, all sited in a chamber above the North East Aisle. This chamber was specially built in the 1890s by the Guinness family at the time that Henry Willis and Son, in consultation with Sir George Martin, then Organist of St Paul's Cathedral, London was rebuilding the organ. It may well have been the organ on which 'Father' Henry Willis himself was working within a few hours of his death in 1901. In 1963 J.W. Walker and Company carefully and respectfully rebuilt the organ. The Organ on Guild Music
