Biography of Eimer Nicola:
Nicola has performed at all the major London concert venues including the Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, Barbican and King’s Place, where she has collaborated with artists such as Alison Balsom, Philip, Higham, Guy Johnston, Gemma Rosefield and Christoph Richter. After studying privately with Danielle Salamon in London, Nicola won a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music with Christopher Elton. The winner of numerous competitions and prizes for both solo and ensemble playing, she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study at the Juilliard School in New York with Joseph Kalichstein in 2000. Following this, she held a two-year fellowship at the Royal Academy of Music, before being made an Associate in 2005. Since then, she has been on the teaching faculty at the Royal Academy, as a professor of solo piano and chamber music.
