Krakamp Emanuele (1813-1883)

Biography of Krakamp Emanuele:

The Italian composer and woodwind virtuoso, most especially of the flute, Emanuele Krakamp, was born in Messina and died at the age of 70 in Naples. His father was a noted military musician, and the boy soon achieved considerable fluency on the flute, being encouraged by his family at all times. Emanuele published almost 300 works – like Popp, many of them composed for the flute - and almost certainly would have met Verdi, who was the same age.
