Biography of Vollmer Jasmine:

The harpist Jasmine Vollmer was born in Ulm, Germany, where she studied with Ilse Reynders, later with Renie Yamahata in Stuttgart and Chantel Mathieu at Lausanne College of Music, where in 1999 she obtained her concert diploma, winning the First Prize. Since 2000, she has lived in Zurich, where she teaches, inter alia, at the cantonal school. She is a member of the jury of various Swiss music competitions and colleges of music, and is often invited to play in the main Swiss orchestras, such as the Orchester der Oper Zurich, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Sinfonie Orchester Basel, the Musikkollegium Winterthur and the Orquestra Nacional do Porto. In 2005 she recorded her first solo CD. She plays chamber music with various ensembles and is regularly invited to festivals, including the Rüttihubeliade or the Murten Classics. She has performed with musicians such as Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Fabio di Casola, Quirine Viersen and Kaspar Zehnder. From early on in her career, Jasmine Vollmer has collaborated with singers, and since 1989 she has given concerts with the Austrian baritone Peter Doss. She also plays in a trio with soprano, baritone and harp. Since 1999, she had toured throughout Europe with EXOS, an artist group which has its roots in the Cirque du soleil. “... controlled her instrument with complete finger dexterity.
