London Piano Trio - Trio

Biography of London Piano Trio:

The London Piano Trio was formed by Robert Atchison in 1995, making it’s debut concert at James’s Church, in Piccadilly, London. For the past fifteen years the London Piano Trio have been touring, recording, and teaching across the globe to rave reviews. “Simply World Class” is the description made by the Germany press of the London Piano Trio, and back at home they have been described as a “ National Treasure”. Their many current activities include amongst other things a residency at the Danbury Festival, Essex, UK and extensive work on promoting lesser British composers. With this recording of the complete Tovey piano trios, they have also recorded the complete trios of Armstrong Gibbs, and are in the process of doing the same with the works of Henry Cotton Nixon. Future recordings with Guild will also feature the complete Mendelsshon trios. The next few seasons will see them touring America, Canada, Scotland, Italy, Germany, and the Far East. - Robert Atchison (violin), Olga Dunk (piano), David Jones (cello)
