White Catherine - Harp

Biography of White Catherine:

Catherine White studied at the Juilliard School in New York and at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Before she moved to Great Britain, she concerted especially in the USA and Canada. She was solo harpist of the Ulster Orchestra from 1989 to 2004, played in the premiere performance of Sean Davey’s Concerto for two harps and was to be heard on numerous British festival, among others in Buxton, Bury St. Edmunds, Chipping Camden and Cerne Abbas. She taught at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Trinity College of Music and the Juilliard School and is today lecturer at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Birmingham Conservatoire. She appeared among others with the London Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the English National Opera, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra as well as the Gaudier Ensemble and has participated in several recording projects.
