Fueter Daniel (b.1949)

Biography of Fueter Daniel:

Born in Zurich in 1949, piano studies at the Zurich Conservatory and College of Music, Teacher’s and Concert Diplomas. Since 1973 working in various teaching and administrative functions. Composer of some hundred stage scores for theatre plays in the German speaking part of Europe, chamber and piano music, and mainly chansons, songs and choral music, he also set theatre works with librettos by Thomas Hürlimann, Lukas Bärfuss und Mona Petri, as well as the “Passion of Judas” with a libretto by Jürg Jegge. Performs as piano accompanist. Teaches song and chanson interpretation at the Zurich University of the Arts – Department of Music, at the Lugano Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, and at the Karlsruhe College of Music. Married to pianist Eriko Kagawa, has two granddaughters and a grandson.
