Angel Feet is a landmark in the trio?s development, and their particular style of jazz features Celtic, ?acoustic groove? and classical ? even baroque ? influences, and also includes the appearance of a tango and a rhumba. The David Gordon Trio was formed in 1995 and has made several tours of the UK and Denmark, including concerts at the Copenhagen Jazzhouse and the Aarhus Jazz Festival. Saxophonist Andy Sheppard and singer Jacqui Dankworth have appeared as guests with the trio. The trio consists of UK pianist David Gordon, Danish double bassist Ole Rasmussen and US-based drummer Paul Cavaciuti. Together, they have a readily identifiable sound, and their music combines accessibility and groove with cutting edge improvisation, reflecting the group?s diverse backgrounds.
