Gebhardt Martin - Oboe

Biography of Gebhardt Martin:

Martin Gebhardt (member of the Aulos Quartet) was born and grew up in Basel. He studied at the Conservatories of Rotterdam and Zürich, where in 1988 he gained the concert diploma in the class of Thomas Indermühle. He took part in chamber music masterclasses, in particular with the flutist André Jaunet, who played an important role in his formation. Until 1998 Martin Gebhardt held the position of solo oboe with symphony orchestras in Switzerland and Germany. These activities allowed him to develop stylistically with personalities such as Efrem Kurtz, Antal Dorati, Kurt Sanderling, Yehudi Menuhin, Armin Jordan, Mario Venzago and Nikolaus Harnoncourt. Nowadays, the founder of the Aulos Quartett devotes himself entirely to chamber music and solo repertoire, as well as teaching.
