Biography of Halls David:
David Halls was educated at Harrogate Grammar School and Worcester College, Oxford, where he was Organ Scholar. After gaining his degree in music, he spent a year at Winchester as Organ Scholar of the Cathedral and also obtained the Post-Graduate Certificate of Education at King Alfred's College. He was awarded five prizes for the Royal College of Organists' Fellowship examinations and the Silver Medal from the Worshipful Company of Musicians. In September 1985 he was appointed Assistant Organist of Salisbury Cathedral and Director of Music at Salisbury Cathedral School. He is conductor of the Salisbury Musical Society and the Salisbury Orchestral Society.
