Biography of Hauk Franz:
Franz Hauk was born in 1955 in Neuburg on Danube. After passing his A-levels, he studied the subject church and school music, as well as piano and organ at the Academies of Music in Munich and Salzburg. In 1981 he received the master class diploma from the Academy of Music in Munich. Several recordings followed. He acts as a judge at music competitions and runs master classes at international music festivals. Since October 2002 he has been teaching in the field of historical performance practice at the State College for Music and Theatre in Munich.
