Biography of European Fine Arts Trio:
The European Fine Arts Trio has performed in the cultural centers of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as Poland, France and Italy. The trio has also undertaken lengthy tours of Asia and the Near East, and had successful appearances in the United Arab Emirates under the patronage of that government’s Cultural Attaché. The ensemble has brought out a CD of the piano trios of Chopin and Debussy, which was outstandingly received by the press: “... The European Fine Arts Trio show-cases these lesser-known works; its delicacy and suppleness are a joy to listen to” (Musik & Theater, December 2002). The Polish music critics immediately awarded this recording the highly acclaimed «Fryderyk» prize.
The European Fine Arts Trio has also contributed decisively to the rediscovery of the Swiss late romantic composer Paul Juon (1872-1940), who has since become more and more popular, Juon’s works genuinely enrich the piano trio repertoire. His Triple Concerto for piano trio and large symphony orchestra is a masterpiece that had suffered decades of unjust neglect in the concert hall; the European Fine Arts Trio has performed the work in various countries with various different orchestras. The ensemble has also recorded the work on the “Musiques Suisses” label with the Cracow Philharmonic Orchestra, a CD that was released to coincide with the 130th anniversary of composer’s birth.
